HOW DO I MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO MY APPOINTMENT?
If you need to make adjustments to an appointment call or text (303) 900-5669.

WHY DO YOU CHARGE A BOOKING FEE?
The booking fee is simply to reserve the appointment. The booking fee helps to cover overhead costs associated with the hour(s) reserved (e.g. rent, taxes, credit card processing fees, text and email communications, insurance coverage, supplies used to prepare for the appointment, products, etc.).

WHAT IS AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR?
Independent contractors provide goods or services according to the terms of a contract they have negotiated with an employer. Independent contractors are not employees. A salon may hire a stylist as an independent contractor. Cosmetologists and barbers who choose to work as independent contractors are responsible for paying for their own overhead costs associated with their business, making their own hours, and managing their own appointments. Heather Sherman is an independent contractor.

HOW ARE YOUR APPOINTMENTS SET UP?
All of our appointments include a consultation, the service, and time for stylists to sanitize between appointments. For appointments that are 45 minutes, or longer, the first ten minutes of the appointment are reserved for the consultation, the shampoo and/or the grace period. The last five minutes of every appointment are reserved for completing the transaction, while allowing the stylist time to properly sanitize between appointments. All of the time in between is reserved for your service. There is not a grace period for services that are 30 minutes, or shorter. If you are late to a 30-minute appointment or a 15-minute appointment you will automatically forfeit the booking fee. Your stylist needs 10 minutes to do a proper "Bang Trim", "Line-Up", "Beard Trim", and/or "Shampoo". Your stylist needs 25 minutes to do a proper "Express Haircut". The last five minutes of every appointment are reserved for completing the transaction, while allowing the stylist time to properly sanitize between appointments.

WHAT IF I DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE A SHAMPOO WITH MY STYLE?
The shampoo is an optional part of each service. If you wish to forfeit the shampoo, you must arrive with clean, dry hair. Clients will receive a shampoo with every treatment and color service.

WHAT IF I DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE A BLOWOUT WITH MY HAIRCUT?
The blowout is an optional part of each service. The price remains the same with or without the blowout. We encourage our guests to receive a blowout with every color appointment.

AM I ABLE TO GET A SHAMPOO AT THE END OF THE SERVICE?
Yes, for an additional fee. Each haircut service includes one shampoo, at the beginning of the appointment. If you would like to add a shampoo and/or rinse at the end of your appointment you will need to add "Shampoo" to your service. The first ten minutes of every appointment is reserved for the consultation and the shampoo, and/or the grace period. The shampoo is optional and the service is performed at the beginning of the haircut, to allow proper sectioning for the stylist. If the shampoo is forfeited at the beginning of the service, the stylist will typically use a spray bottle to wet the hair, if needed. This is done at the beginning of the service to guarantee enough time for the haircut. You can find a detailed description below each service on our service menu that includes the order in which the services are performed. If you would like to receive an additional shampoo or rinse at the end of the service, be sure to add "Shampoo" to your haircut for an additional $30. This will allow your stylist enough time to shampoo your hair, after the haircut is complete. If you need your hair washed and dried after your hair is cut, you may add the "Blowout" for an additional $55. This will allow your stylist enough time to wash and dry your hair, after the haircut has been completed. The blowout is not included.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COSMETOLOGIST AND A BARBER?
The biggest difference is that barbering is strictly focused on hair, whereas cosmetology focuses on hair, skin, nails and more. Barbers can provide straight razor shaves on the face, while Cosmetologists can perform skincare and waxing services. They are both trained in haircutting, hair coloring and proper sanitation.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIGHLIGHTS AND A BALAYAGE?
The biggest difference between a balayage and highlights is that a balayage is hand painted onto the hair in strategic patterns to create a natural, sunkissed look; whereas highlights are applied to hair that is sectioned using weaving and slicing techniques before being placed into foils to promote maximum lift, creating a much brighter tone throughout the hair. A Foilyage is a combination of a balayage and highlights.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BLOW-DRY STYLING AND A BLOWOUT?
There's actually a big difference between blow-dry styling and a blowout. Blow-dry styling is meant to dry the hair while reducing frizziness. The service would be considered a blow-dry if the stylist is using their fingers and a blowdryer to rough dry the hair to reduce frizz. A blowout adds volume while styling, without using a flat iron or a curling iron. The service would be considered a blowout if the stylist is using a round brush or flat brush to create a detailed hairstyle.
